I wasn’t expecting what I got - I got lots more than I thought I would from the day. I thought it may take 2 hrs even though you said we’d need maybe half a day and you were right. You said I’d be tired and I was, but for good reason.

I was very impressed by the interest you showed in helping me to update my wardrobe and took the time to find the perfect item even if it meant trying on different shades of a blue shirt in different stores to get the right one. I also appreciated the confidence and attitude you displayed when we were faced with making a decision and/or spending a little more on certain clothes eg: boots (love them). I haven’t done this type of session before and really loved spending the day at the shops together to achieve a great outcome.

What did you like and dislike about the styling session?

I liked the honesty, I liked that Kelly moved things along so I didn’t get stuck in one spot, I like that Kelly reflected my style and personality, I liked the personalised handout that I got afterwards as a reference point.

I didn’t dislike anything. I was expecting it to be a challenge at times, given it isn’t my favourite thing to review where motherhood has scared my sense of fashion and self, however Kelly totally gets it. Kelly is a mum herself, so she knows what happens to the best of us!

Wardrobe Audit & Style Guide

I would highly recommend Kelly from Gorgeous You! I was gifted a wardrobe makeover session and personal style guide. I'm someone who isn't really into shopping all that much so some help with my wardrobe was definitely needed. Not only was Kelly professional, efficient and knowledgeable, she also made the experience fun and I felt safe, comfortable and respected in her presence. Kelly helped me understand what styles of clothing and accessories suited my body type. She helped me put the final touches on some of my outfits I already had (which I really needed help with! haha) It was a great experience, I feel much more confident in my appearance and so happy! The day after my session I started to use the information Kelly had taught me, and was complimented straight away on how lovely I looked. Thank you Kelly! Thanks Kelly, for the shopping session, as assumed, due to lockdown I've not had a chance to wear much as yet. But, I have had lots of positive feedback from boots, dark jeans and grey jumper outfit. So now, I wear these all the time. Love it!!

I was secretly dreading the wardrobe review - as in it was a messy bundle of clothes and I thought there was no value in reviewing what was there. I dragged my heels during this part and I think Kelly sensed it and just jumped in a took charge of my procrastination. And you know what - it was valuable because it meant that we identified the key pieces missing, and it also made sure I knew how to wear what was already in my wardrobe.

I was expecting it to be fun, but also informative to challenge what I had been doing wrong.

Kelly is a natural stylist who put me at ease immediately despite doing it remotely. She showed patience and understanding with a touch of fun.

Not really knowing what to expect, I went into the session thinking it would be all about fashion and seasonal trends and came out learning what style of clothes bring out my best assets.

The wardrobe edit was a great place to start on my styling journey and I am looking forward to the next steps and booking in a shopping experience where I can learn about investing in the right pieces which will not only be useful for an upcoming interview but also for social occasions and casual wear - saving me money over the long term.

I gave one of your gift certificates to my wife, and wow, it was such a good idea. Although Sarah had lashed out and spent more money than I budgeted for, her confidence has increased dramatically.

Plus, we have been out for a few romantic dinners now and life is good.

This experience surpassed all expectations - I got so much out of it, that I use every time I shop, every time I get dressed for work, every time I plan an outfit for an event or to take the kids to a party etc. It was such a worthwhile investment. Are people noticing your new look?

Yes. I went to the comedy festival wearing a skirt that I had altered from a dress that just didn’t suit me and EVERYONE COMMENTED. I mean a random lady walking past even said “you look good”, I enjoy planning outfits again, I have more confidence, I feel true to my style type that is functional in mum mode , but has the confidence and awareness to embrace styles that suit me now post kids.

Also It inspired me to get my favourite things tailored suit me. So good for the environment and really gave a second life to dresses that became skirts, dresses got new outlines done, blazers trimmed in. So worth it rather than fall victim to fast fashion.

What a great day, I showed off all my new clothes to family afterwards. They were pretty happy with the results too. It was a guilt free, child free day that had been budgeted for in advance. I would definitely do this again, when the need arises. You were friendly, helpful, decisive, sensitive and well researched to my needs and preferences. Keep doing what you’re doing. But at the end, when I showed my husband etc the purchases and the compliments started rolling in and I was really happy I did it.

Kelly and I had a virtual online consultation as I am in New Zealand. I was nervous about having someone see me changing, but Kelly made me feel at ease very quickly. I was a bit underprepared but Kelly was very patient with me and guided me through the consultation with ease. We went through what styles would best suit my body shape, what items in my wardrobe just don't work, what should be kept, donated and binned. It was a great experience all round and has really helped me focus when I am shopping for new items. No more buying things that never get worn! I can't recommend Kelly highly enough.
